I recently met up with some of my friends to visit PC Show. They were former scouts, who were in the same batch as me, from Fajar Sec.
They told me that they were glad that they joined Scouts and also that they were greatful to the scouters who gave us tough punishments especially during PLTC. All the trainings given are all worth it. It was tough and memorable that when they are in the army, they can easily go through it without feeling much pain. They said that they can cope better in NS since they had joined Scouts.
Now, my intention is not to bring to you that tough punishments are good. Times have changed. If we are to bring out any punishments, it must be with a good and valid reason. In FSS, you don't see any of our Rovers and Leaders scolding vulgarity, making all of you suffer without any valid reason. Old methods does not usually work in this new society. There are different methods to deal with disciplinary issues now. Of course at times when things get out of hand, what we do is to get you back on the right track.
For now, we believe in bringing you QUALITY scouting, ensuring that you all learn new skills, not only scouting skills, but other relevant skills which are beneficial even when you graduate from school. I have said this many times, "At the end of the day, we want all of you to become a better person of good virtue and character."
You all have indeed made a wise choice by joining SCOUTS! Haha... Be Prepard for PLTC, info below:::
